In this area, analysis shows that the busiest time
on the streets is a weekday in the late afternoon/early evening. Because of when it occurs, this is known as the PM peak hour.
As illustrated, after mitigation measures are put in place, the intersections studied continue to operate at a high level. The single exception is the stop controlled intersection at Newark and 34th Street which will continue to operate at a somewhat substandard level of service.
