Community
Process

Redevelopment of the Wisconsin Avenue site has been in the planning stages since 2000. What began with a simple goal to enlarge the existing GIANT supermarket has evolved into a commitment for a neighborhood scale mixed-use development of benefit to the community at-large.
Browse through the history of the project and see how you and your neighbors' comments have shaped the plan you see today.

In May, 2008, The Stop and Shop Supermarket Co. submitted an application to the District of Columbia Zoning
Commission for review and approval of a Planned Unit Development and Zoning Map Amendment. An informational meeting for the public to discuss the submitted plans will be held on June 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Washington Hebrew Congregation (Massachusetts Avenue and Macomb Street).
Giant and its consultants thank all of those who have contributed to the planning process and the community's support for this project. We look forward to seeing you at the informational meetings.
