This project was planned as an expansion of West Hartford’s Center, an existing downtown district that is recognized as a thriving hub of commerce, shopping and dining in Connecticut’s Capitol District. It will turn underutilized and functionally obsolete properties on the edge of the downtown into a vibrant new neighborhood incorporating condominium living above street level retail shops, entertainment and dining. These will be joined by professional office spaces and a Wellness Center of Hartford Hospital, all supported by public parking and enhanced by great sidewalks and public places.

The failing New Rochelle Mall provided the opportunity to create a new and vibrant anchor to Main Street, in keeping with the City’s vision of revitalizing the declining commercial district. Incorporating a Stop & Shop supermarket with its own parking on the lowest level, and movies, an ice rink, restaurants and retail tenants on upper levels, the project included a municipal parking garage topped by a hotel and a residential condominium building.
